Description

Bryars steers clear of the traditional virtuoso show-piece style concerto, instead opting for a work that, like baroque concertos, can be led by the soloist. There are allusions to Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, but the solo part remains slow and exquisitely beautiful, and there is no real cadenza.
