Description

The film score to Metamorphose by the Swiss film maker Michael Wolgensinger was composed by Bernd Alois Zimmermann in 1954, in parallel with the ballet Alagoana. Wolgensinger's film shows images of Spanish scenery without any plot. Thus, the music is given a wide scope, integrating both jazz passages and pronounced dance characters, such as in the movement Habanera.
