Description
Horizon was composed in 1985, it was premiered by the Central Philharmonic Orchestra in the debut recital of composer’s orchestra work in December, 1985. Its Hong Kong premiere was conducted by Henneth Schermerhorn with Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra in 1986. It was also introduced to Finland by conductor Zheng Xiaoying in 1989. In 1993, The China Culture Promotion Society selected this work as one of the '20th-Century Masterpieces by Chinese Composers'. Horizon is the most frequent performed piece of Xiaogang Ye in China.
