Description
The 30-minute work Commentary on a Vision was composed following the encouragement of the percussionist Mark Pekarski in 1991, the year of the putsch against Gorbachev in Moscow which generated political and cultural unrest throughout the nation. Bleak contrasting episodes are strung together as in a film and resemble visions or dreams which have floated up from the subconscious.
