Description
Since the late 60s, Klaus Doldinger has gained a great reputation as one of the most significant and renowned German composers for film and TV. Many of his TV scores have achieved cult status, as for example the title melody to the TV crime series “Tatort”. He has received international acclaim with his music for the world-famous blockbusters The Boat (Das Boot) and The Neverending Story (Die unendliche Geschichte). The two orchestral suites now presented by Schott are brilliant compilations, concentrating the very special atmosphere of the movies into just nine minutes. Both pieces are scored for standard orchestra and are suitable for good amateur orchestras.
