Description

The German Music Council has been publishing its Contemporary Music Edition on the WERGO label since 1986. In April 2010, we celebrated the 75th release, which is a good reason for the "Compilation 75" to present fresh starts and upheavals in the contemporary music.
This new music is ironic, profound, giddy, free-wheeling, at times even gnarled. It fills in blank spaces and bestows unique moments, proving to be as labyrinthine as real life. Sometimes it quarrels with itself only to deftly conjure up new aesthetic realities as counterweights to the familiar and habitual.
