Description

This collection of eighteen choral arrangements of melodies from the Protestant hymn book is meant to be used in services and little concerts. Rather varied with regard to the compositional approach of the individual arrangements, the collection, like a kind of informative selection, shows the different possibilities of how to deal with a tonal melody in post-modern pluralism. The stylistic patterns presented can easily be drawn out and transferred to other chorales for the purpose of an improvisation exercise, which serves as the educational aspect of this organ book.

Content

Agnus Dei
Allein Gott in der Höh'sei Ehr
Aus tiefer Not schrei ich zu dir
Befiehl du deine Wege
Fröhlich soll mein Herze springen
Herr Jesu Christ, dich zu uns wend
Herzliebster Jesu, was hast du verbrochen
Komm Gott Schöpfer, heiliger Geist
Komm, heiliger Geist, Herre Gott
Nun komm der Heiden Heiland
Nun singet und seid froh
O Heiland, reiss die Himmel auf
O Lamm Gottes, unschuldig
Schmücke dich, o liebe Seele
Von Gott will ich nicht lassen
Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme
Wie soll ich dich empfangen
Wir danken dir, Herr Jesu Christ
