Description
"As times go bye..." is a title with several possible meanings. In one sense it is a nostalgic reference to the long period of time that has elapsed since the days of J. S. Bach. In another sense, though, it refers to the musical concept of time which is a principal element of this composition: "As time goes by" and "Playing with time" are taken as themes, with each movement dealing with a particular aspect of time in conjunction with musical motifs from Bach's "Well-tempered Clavichord". A rewarding piece for the saxophone ensemble repertoire - suitable for competitions, concert performance and teaching purposes.
