Description

This nostalgic 'Pas de deux' comes from the ballet 'Hoffmanns Erzählungen' by the composer Gerd Natschinski. Composed very melodiously, not difficult to play and still revealing the pleasant harmony of Jacques Offenbach, the piece allows all four cellists to sing their 'espressivo. It is the ideal addition to a violoncello ensemble concert, enthusing both performers and audience alike.
As early as the age of 20, Natschinski gave concerts in Leipzig with his own entertainment orchestra and conducted his own arrangements and compositions on the radio. As creator of unforgettable evergreens for concert and stage performances, such as the musical 'Mein Freund Bunbury', he is one of the most successful German composers of upmarket popular music.
