Description:

"Concerto für Horn und Orgel" ist eine Parallelfassung und zugleich die Studienausgabe zu Pflügers "Konzert für Horn und Orchester". Das Konzert wurde 1983 als Kompositionsauftrag der Stuttgarter Philharmoniker geschrieben und am 12. Juli 1983 uraufgeführt. Das Werk ist Hermann Baumann, dem Solisten der Uraufführung, zugeeignet.
Der 2. Satz des "Concerto" beruht auf Pflügers 1975 geschriebener Komposition "Klangfiguren über 'Es ist das Heil und kommen her' für Horn und Orgel".
