Mozart Year 2006! Such an anniversary is a challenge to every literary director and theatre manager. Intelligent concert programmes can show how important Mozart‘s music is to us today, how it is reflected in the music of our time, and what its form and expression mean in the 21st century.

Hoping to inspire and encourage you to draw up interesting programmes, we have selected not only several original works, arrangements and tribute compositions, but also where the connection with Mozart is not apparent at first glance. These works include numerous pieces by young composers who artistically define their relationship to classical music in their own music. All these works are suitable as companion contemporary combination pieces in a Mozart concert.
