In 2007 the music world celebrates the 125th Birthday of the cosmopolitan composer Igor Stravinsky. One look at his orchestral output, such as the Symphony in Three Movements shows how interest there is in his music at present. The Norwegian Opera premieres a ballet programme "Moves" on 17 March, and in the coming months the piece is being heard at other major Festivals such as Wien Modern, the Rheingau Music Festival and the Prague Spring Festival, and outside the opera house at the UK's Sunderland Empire Theatre as part of "Stravinsky! a celebration 2007".
In the USA, Stravinsky features on the programmes of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Cleveland Orchestra and the Philadelphia Orchestra - three of the "Big Five" orchestras - over the next four weeks.
