Elisabeth Lutyens Centenary Tributes

Elisabeth Lutyens Centenary in 2006 has been marked by both the British Library and NMC Recordings.

The British Library, who hold Lutyens manuscripts, have created a mini website dedicated to Lutyens with an in-depth biography and analysis of some of her key works.  The site also has a number of previously unseen photographs; from her receiving her CBE to relaxed informal shots of her family.

The site also has sound-clips from NMC Recordings, who in October 2006 released a disc of Lutyens Choral and Chamber works.  Exquisitely performed by chamber choir Exaudi and the Endymion ensemble, the disc includes premiere recordings of the Motet Excerpta Tractatus logico philosophici, Wind Trio and String Trio.
