Korngold was one of the most successful composers of film music in Hollywood.

Following the success of Korngold’s first volume of songs, Schott now presents the second volume, published for the first time. They date from the early creative period of the 'child prodigy' and already show the extraordinary talent of the young composer.

Many of these marvellous songs were composed for certain events; with the operetta-like Die Gansleber im Hause Duschnitz, Korngold managed to write a real 'Viennese delicacy'.
