Anthony Gilbert’s Nine or Ten Osannas

Encore, a joint Royal Philharmonic Society and BBC Radio 3 project which aims to highlight unjustly overlooked works from the chamber music repertoire will be bringing Anthony Gilbert’s 1967 work Nine or Ten Osannas back to the concert stage on Friday 21st October 2011.

Psappha will be giving the first performance of Gilbert’s freely composed work since 1987 at the Cosmo Rodewald Concert Hall in Manchester in a concert which will be broadcast on BBC Radio 3.  John Casken’s new work, Winter Reels, which as premiered by Psappha at the beginning of September will also feature in the programme.
