Joe Duddell - An Evening with James

Joe Duddell’s latest collaboration has been with the band James and together they begin a UK tour on 23rd October.  “An Evening with James” brings together the iconic Manchester band, composer/conductor Joe Duddell, Orchestra of the Swan and the Manchester Consort Choir for what is set to be one of this year’s musical highlights for both the classical and pop world.

Duddell first worked with James in 2009 and prior to this had orchestrated and conducted songs by the band Elbow for two sell out concerts as part of the Manchester International Festival in 2008.  Earlier this year he worked with dubstep group Nero and the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra for a performance that was heard and watched by over 7 million people on BBC Radio 1 and the BBC website.

The tour stops at major venues around the UK starting in Cardiff before travelling to Birmingham, Glasgow, Nottingham, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle and finally finishing at London’s Albert Hall - many of the dates sold out within hours.

For a preview of what is planned the band posted this video on the Youtube website.
