Creating new music for dance
The Royal Philharmonic Society has announced that Schott composer Kenneth Hesketh will be collaborating with contemporary music ensemble Psappha, choreographer Sharon Watson and Phoenix Dance Theatre to create a new work funded by the RPS's Drummond Fund. The new piece, Forms entangled, shapes collided, takes its inspiration from Greek philosophy and the theory of atomism - the idea that the wold consists of two fundamental principals; atoms and void.
The world premiere followed by a UK tour will take place in 2013.
