CD release - Hesketh's 'Point Forms'
The NMC record label releases “Prism” today (Monday 18th April), a new CD of contemporary clarinet works performed by Mark Simpson and Ian Buckle which includes "'Point Forms' (after Kandinsky)", a new work by Ken Hesketh for basset clarinet and piano.
'Point Forms' was written for Mark Simpson in 2009 and is based on the collection of diagrams found in Wassily Kandinsky’s book Point and Line to Plane. An Edition Schott publication of the score will be available later this year.
