YouTube Symphony Orchestra 2011

The Sydney Opera House will be hosting the YouTube Symphony Orchestra project later this month and will feature a number of Schott works. Mark-Anthony Turnage’s classic work for brass ensemble, Set To will be performed on 16th March in a concert featuring renowned trumpeter Håkan Hardenberger; and Takemitsu’s Rain Tree and Christopher Rouse’s Odoun Badagris will be included in the percussion concert on 15th March.
Finally, Percy Grainger, the Australian composer whoes death 50 years ago is being commemorated this year, will have his orchestral work Arrival on Platform Humlet open the Evening Finale on 20th March.
