ECHO KLASSIK 2006 for 'The Long Christmas Dinner' with WERGO
Paul Hindemith’s one-act opera will be awarded the ECHO KLASSIK 2006, for the category "world premiere recording of the year”. The award-winning CD has been released by the Schott label WERGO, performed by conductor Marek Janowski and the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin. The awards celebration takes place on October 22nd in Philharmonie am Gasteig in Munich, and is broadcast live on German Television (ZDF). The prestigious award is the most important German prize for classical recordings and is offered annually by the ZDF and the German Phono Academy.
