Igor Stravinsky:
Concerto en ré |
Among the violin concertos of the 20th century, Igor Stravinsky’s Concerto en ré, composed in 1931, is one of the most popular and frequently performed works. One can feel its magical effect not only in the concert hall but even stronger when combined with dance. The most legendary choreography on this music is George Balanchine’s programme “Violin Concerto”. Recently, choreographer Nicolo Fonte has worked with the Concerto and his realization can now be seen at the Gothenburg Opera in “Stravinskij+”.
