Toonzetters nomination - Richard Ayres, No. 44 (diary pieces)

Richard Ayres' No. 44 (diary pieces) has been nomiminated by an international jury for the 2010 Toonzetters Prize.  The presigeous award aims to regonzise the best new works written in the Netherlands during the past year and will culminate with performances at Amsterdam's Musiekgebouw on the 28th and 29th August.

No. 44 was commissioned by Orkest de ereprijs and first performed in October 2009 conducted by Wim Boerman.  The complete first movement of the 10 minute work for large ensmeble is available to view exclusivly on the Schott website.
