The New Programm Summer/Spring 2010

We begin this year with some exciting anniversaries!

In addition to the birthdays of Robert Schumann and Mikis Theodorakis, in 2010 we also celebrate our own anniversary at Schott Music: as an international publishing house, we have dedicated ourselves to all aspects of music for 240 years.

Once again, in this spring preview you will find a whole spectrum of classical, jazz, folk, rock and pop material for performance and/or teaching purposes.

To celebrate Robert Schumann’s 200th birthday, new editions of the romantic composer’s works have been published by Schott Music, including the famous Piano Concerto in A minor from the Schumann Complete Edition, which currently consists of 16 volumes.

Swing Standards for saxophone and piano, including classics such as ‘Mack the Knife’ and ‘Body and Soul’, give a new lease of life to the big-band sound of the 30s and get you in the mood for dancing.

Dancing was also an important feature of Argentinian culture at the beginning of the 20th century. Discover a selection of easy-to-play, flexible arrangements of Astor Piazzolla’s music in El Viaje from Boosey & Hawkes, available for several different instruments.

We hope you enjoy the stimulating new Spring programme from Schott Music, Boosey & Hawkes and our Russian publishing partner Belaieff.
