Opening of the Hans Werner Henze Project RUHR.2010

The cultural institutions of the Ruhr have joined together to form a unique initiative to present the oeuvre of the Westphalia-born Hans Werner Henze in all its facets. Henze is acknowledged not only as a composer, but also as a writer, festival founder and communicator of music whose work and thinking have left a deep impact and a lasting influence on the musical life and intellectual history of his home country.

The 'Henze project' ranges from performances of his operas, concertos and chamber music works to the programme series 'Education Community Composition' which is supported financially by the Pro Musica Viva Foundation of the Schott publishing house.

Please see the RUHR.2010 homepage or the calendar section on the Schott website for event details.
