Golden Prague Award for Penderecki'Thes "Seven Gates of Jerusalem"

In June, the film "Seven Gates of Jerusalem" by Jaroslaw Minkiewicz and Tomasz Baginski has been awarded the Golden Prague Award in category 1 "Music on the television screen". The production by the national Polish broadcasting service is a visualization of the same named seventh symphony by composer Krzysztof Penderecki. The jury lauds "courage and ambition in putting state of the art technology at the service of a major contemporary musical work". And it continues: "But technology is meaningless without a powerful visual narrative. Jaroslaw Minkiewicz and Tomasz Baginski brought their separate talents together to commemorate a timeless story in a challenging genre to a mass audience."
