The Fryderyk Polish Music Industry Awards are often called the Polish Grammys.

The film "Seven Gates of Jerusalem" to Krzysztof Penderecki's work of the same title has been nominated for the prestigious Rose d'Or 2009 Award in the Performing Arts category. Over 170 productions from all over the world were submitted to the competition, from which an international jury selected the most interesting six. This is the only Polish production to have been shortlisted.
