Duddell appointed Reader at the University of Salford
Joe Duddell has recently been appointed as Reader in Music at the University of Salford in Manchester. With over 400 undergraduates, 25 post-graduates and 16 doctoral candidates, it is one of the largest music departments in the UK.Duddell’s return to Salford – he previously studied at the university – comes at an exciting time for the city. The BBC has announced that they will be relocating to the city from Manchester which will finally give the city an orchestra to call their own. Duddell has previously been composition fellow at the Royal Academy Music, where he studied with Steve Martland, and has also held teaching positions at both Exeter and Brunel Universities.
