Karl Amadeus Hartmann features in Britten Sinfonia Season and CD launch

Britten Sonfonia’s season launch kicks off on Monday 22^nd October with the outstanding 22-year old Russion violinist Alina Ibragimova directing the orchestra. The programme, which features Hartmann’s Concerto Funèbre alongside music by Bach and Schoenberg, highlights Ibragimova’s recent CD release (BBC Radio 3 Disk of the Week) of Hartmann’s music with Britten Sinfonia on Hyperion.

 

Performances will take place in Cambridge, Norwich and London between the 22^nd and 24^th October and signed copies of the CD will be available at each concert.
