Work of the Week - Joe Duddell: Four (mere) Bagatelles

The Presteigne Festival of Music and the Arts celebrates its 25th Anniversary this year.  To mark the occassion the festival has commissioned many new works, among them a new string quartet from Joe Duddell for the Psophos Quartet.  This young,  French quartet are BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artists, and as part of the scheme, the concert will be broadcast on Radio 3.  The premiere of Four (mere) Bagatelles a cycle of very short pieces totalling 5 minutes takes place on 24 August in St Andrew's Church, Presteigne.
