The BBC Proms is one of the biggest and most prominent music festivals of the world. This year’s Proms features Henri Dutilleux’s The Shadows of Time, among others. This work for orchestra and three children’s voices consists of five episodes and serves as a memorial for mankind. It calls for reflection on one’s own presence and for learning from history to form a better future. At the concert in London, Thierry Fisher will conduct the BBC National Orchestra of Wales. It will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 3.
